Turner - Seascape - Framed Canvas
Atmospheric coastal oil by renown 19th century artist William Turner
61 x 49
William Turner was an English romanticist painter who is credited with being a precursor to the French Impressionist movement. His broadly applied atmospheric washes of paint and expressive colourisation earned him the title of &ldquothe painter of light&rdquo. This gorgeous piece was inspired by the atmospheric marine skies of the English coast. Deep indigo blues, steely charcoal and silvery greys are glazed over shimmering ivory and soft taupe.
